What we collect: When you use SwissFactMap, we request access to your device's geolocation to find facts near you. Your approximate location is sent to our server to query nearby facts and is stored anonymously (without personal identifiers) to help us understand which areas are most explored. We do not collect personal information or share location data with third parties.
Ratings: If you rate a fact, the rating value and fact ID are stored anonymously. No personal data is attached to ratings.
Cookies & tracking: This app does not use cookies or third-party tracking scripts. We use Vercel Web Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated page-view statistics. No personal data or cookies are involved.
Third-party services: Map tiles are loaded from CARTO/OpenStreetMap. Their respective privacy policies apply to those requests.
Your rights: Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nDSG) and the EU GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete any personal data. Since we do not store personal data, there is typically nothing to delete. For questions, contact us at the email above.
