At the Bähnlerfriedhof, a memorial site near the Untere Vogelsangstrasse, 45 stones commemorate the fate of railway workers who died on the job between 1901 and 1971. One of the most tragic accidents was the death of 24-year-old Weichenwärter Wehrli, who was killed by a locomotive in 1899. The site was used to educate young railway workers about the risks of their job.
